The 135th Canton Fair Opens, Polishing the Innovative Brand of Made in China
The 135th China Import and Export Fair grandly opened in Guangzhou on the 15th. This session of the Canton Fair fully demonstrated the fruitful achievements of advanced manufacturing, and it is estimated that the number of new products on site exceeds 1 million; the willingness of overseas purchasers to participate has significantly increased.
The total exhibition area of this session of the Canton Fair amounts to 1.55 million square meters, with a total of approximately 74,000 booths and 29,000 participating enterprises. As of the 14th, 149,000 overseas purchasers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered, an increase of 17.4% compared to the previous session.
This session of the Canton Fair is held in three phases from April 15th to May 5th for offline exhibitions, and the themes are "Advanced Manufacturing", "Quality Home Furnishing", and "Better Life" in sequence. New themes such as new energy vehicles and smart travel, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, new energy, as well as the exhibition areas related to the "New Three Items" have been further enriched and expanded, and the scale of the smart living zone has also been significantly enlarged. This session of the Canton Fair fully showcases the achievements of advanced manufacturing. It is estimated that there are over 1 million new products on site, over 450,000 green and low-carbon products, and over 250,000 products with independent intellectual property rights. The number of intelligent products such as brain-computer interface intelligent bionic hands, automatic navigation transportation equipment, and artificial intelligence translators exceeds 90,000; more than 50% of the participating enterprises actively apply digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analysis to transform production and operation.
The new business forms have injected new momentum into foreign trade development. This session of the Canton Fair attempts to set up cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones and overseas warehouse exhibition areas for the first time, with an area of 3,000 square meters, and the online platform focuses on promoting 165 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones. The willingness of overseas Purchasers to participate has been significantly strengthened. As of the 13th, pre-registered Purchasers from the United States increased by 21.4%, Purchasers from Middle Eastern countries increased by 24.7%, Purchasers from countries jointly building the "Belt and Road Initiative" increased by 45.9%, and Purchasers from countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement increased by 15.5%. 288 leading enterprises and industrial and commercial institutions confirmed to participate in groups, an increase of 21.5% compared to the previous session.
During the same period, the Canton Fair will hold more than 600 trade promotion activities, covering new product launches, first exhibitions and debut shows, the "Trade Bridge" Canton Fair promotion and global supply and purchase docking activities, industry activities, etc.
